Keely Rincon
Founder and Instructor, Rewired Reading
With more than 25 years of teaching experience, I’ve had the opportunity to work with students of all ages and ability levels. I hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education and am a Fellow In Training with the Academy of Orton-Gillingham. I am also CERI Certified as a Structured Literacy Dyslexia Specialist and a member of the International Dyslexia Association.
I specialize in working with students who find learning difficult and need a different teaching approach to be successful.
Orton-Gillingham
The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multi-sensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy. It helps students succeed who struggle with reading, writing, and spelling, such as those with dyslexia. This approach is most properly understood and practiced as an approach, not a method, program, or system. In the hands of a well-trained and experienced instructor, it is a powerful tool with exceptional breadth, depth, and flexibility.

Time and development do not fix dyslexia. Studying harder does not fix it. Reading more does not fix it. Specialized instruction equips a dyslexic to be successful in a system that does not know how to teach them. Dyslexia is not a problem to be fixed. It is a unique ability and requires a different approach. Working with Mrs. Rincon has changed the trajectory of my daughter’s academic life. Mrs. Rincon utilizes the Orton-Gillingham approach for instruction. I have watched my daughter gain so much confidence and even pride in her phonologic awareness since she started tutoring.
